Inebriated by the exuberance of your verbosity

by MarkJT @ 25 Jun. 2005 - 00:26:39

I love words. Most bloggers do I suppose, thinking about it. But a line has to be drawn somewhere.

In my profession words are importance. In particular the use of words are important. It’s best if they’re clear and concise and keep the listener or reader interested (are you still there?).

A friend of mine in the CPS received an e-mail the other day stating that new computers were being installed. ‘Your current desk will be removed and replaced with a compliant cable managed workstation that will support a PC device,’ it said. A computer desk in other words.

Can you imagine going into Argos or Ikea and asking for a compliant cable managed work…………?

Oh. I can’t be arsed.

Yeah, but Argos and Ikea don't give a shiite about health & safety aspects. Their idea of compliant is a 2inch dia hole cut through 3/4 inch chip board for all your cables...

IF you want some real cock'n'arse language try "Compartmentalisation" for size - you could argue that Argus and Ikea comparmentalise their products!! Haa haa - what a world we live in.

Benefits of a cable compliant managed workstation: If you have not got one, take your employer to court!! EU directives state that you should have one! We can all become like the Yankie states and sue to pants of anyone and everyone...

P.S. Hi Mark, How are you? :-)

Managed to understand your title with 3 look-ups in Merriam-Webster... I don't know about words, but I do love Merriam-Webster... Merriam-Webster made me laugh when I pieced together your title! Thank you!
