Things have changed quite dramatically for me over the last few months. But the dust is beginning to settle so those ‘things’ should start to become clearer.
The only constant has been my trusty notebook. Having said that it’s not been that trusty this year. I left it lying around – accidentally, not deliberately – and it was like a time bomb going off.
Anyway! It has meant that I have spent more time with my parents and brother over the Christmas Holiday – and it was as though I went back in time 30 years.
Except instead of going ‘Down the Field’ to kick a ball about, my brother and I went down ‘The Betting Shop’. I’m not a gambling man and it was pretty obvious as I tried my hardest to look as though I knew what I was doing.
I put the pen between my teeth trying to look as contemplatitive as possible. I used the following method; any horse that reminded me of H, R or P or Arsenal.
Although one name of a horse jumped out at me.
Elusive Dream.
I just had to put £5 on it. And I did.
And guess what?
It fell at the last fence.
